I earned the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org today.
The exam for this certification consists of 80 questions and has a one hour time limit. It was tougher than I expected. The questions that direct you to pick the best answer or the two best answers were tricky. There were several questions that consisted of scenarios and asked you to pick the right decision. I passed with a score of 97.5%.
My preparation consisted of studying the Scrum Guide, reading Scrum Insights for Practitioners: The Scrum Guide Companion by Hiren Doshi. Working on a Scrum team for almost two years has been very helpful. Plus, I’ve read as many articles on Scrum and Agile as possible, followed leaders in the field on Twitter, and contributed to discussions there. It all contributed to passing this exam today.
PSM II is next on my list!
